Situated just a 20 minute drive from Edinburgh city centre and International Airport as well as few minutes from Scotland's major road networks, Newbattle Abbey is the ideal location for any conference or event. This accessible historic site gives a sense of occasion to any meeting, function or conference.

Whether you are holding a small training session or a conference for 100, Newbattle Abbey makes planning and hosting your event a fuss-free experience.

There are five fully equipped meeting rooms to choose from, ranging from the magnificent Drawing Room to the intimate, book-lined Boardroom.

All rooms have natural daylight and some still retain their original fittings. This 16th century house is built on the site of a medieval abbey and lies in 125 acres of ancient parkland and gardens, offering the visitor complete peace and tranquility.

Edinburgh's Merchants' Hall was built in the Nineteenth Century to reflect values that are still associated with the Capital: integrity, acumen and accomplishment.

Situated in the very heart of the city, The Merchants' Hall is one of Scotland's more descreet treasures where the best of Art and Architecture have combined to create a building of grace and distinction which includes a Minstrels' Gallery.
 

The Hall is owned by The Edinburgh Merchant Company and, until recently, it was used exclusively by The Company's members. Now, this truly magnificent venue is available for use by those who wish to enjoy the beauty and prestige of The Merchants' Hall for corporate or private events.

Kirknewton Stables provides a unique venue in the stunning setting of a magnificent walled garden, just five miles west of Edinburgh city limits.

Built over two hundred years ago to provide a coach house and stables to Kirknewton House, the historic Stables have been converted and refurbished into a wonderful events space suitable for conferences, meetings, away days and team building.

The Stables building is ideal for small meetings or conferences, and the 600 acre estate has beautiful policies and parkland which provide the ideal countryside setting for a range of team building activities.

Kirknewton Stables' principal space comprises an impressive south-facing oak floored hall over 100ft long with exposed rafters and beams, giant glazed doors and rows of tall windows down both elevations.

Freemasons' hall is situated in the very heart of Scotland's Capital. The present building was constructed during 1911 - 1912, replacing an earlier building that stood on the site since 1858. The previous building was designed by the famous Scottish architect, David Bryce (who was a Freemason).

The grandeur and elegance of the venue rises 4 floors to the pinnacle of the building which is capped by a beautiful glass dome.

With stunning and unique features throughout, including Robert Burns' and King George the Sixth's Regalia the venue offers a truly unique experience for catering of up to 250 guests.

The clubhouse at Goldenacre can accommodate up to 250 people and is available for hire to members or non-members for your catering event.

The downstairs hall, with its large windows overlooking Goldenacre, is large enough to accommodate 170 diners and comes equipped with a fully stocked bar.

 

The upstairs hall can be used for drinks receptions and canapés or as a quiet area for family members to have a seat and a chat and also comes with a fully stocked bar. Both of the areas come with the venue hire to ensure that you have all the space you require for your function.

Cramond Kirk Hall is a large venue which can accommodate up to 120 diners in the main hall and even more with a buffet style function or drinks reception with canapés.

There is an entrance hall which can be used as a drinks reception with a smaller hall to one side.

 

There is no shortage of space in Cramond Kirk Hall and it has been used for Weddings, Birthdays and family gatherings with MacKenzies Catering in the past.
